Bringing ‘FUN' to This Year's Fund for the Arts FUNdraising Campaigns

The Fund for the Arts is in the middle of its fundraising campaign season and there's only one way to describe it – ‘FUN.' With many companies, including Yum! Brands, Brown-Forman, Clark Memorial Hospital and Chase Bank hosting American Idol-style competitions, participants are getting a chance to raise money for the Arts and show off their hidden talents.

Yum! Brands held two competitions, with twenty-four Idol-wannabes competing at two different Yum! Brands office locations. Brown-Forman held their very first Idol competition during this year's campaign season, Clark Memorial Hospital just completed their competition and Chase Bank will begin their festivities in May. Kicked off by Humana during the previous year's campaign, the Idol competitions have definitely been heating up the campaign and raising lots of dollars for the arts in the Louisville community.

Brown-Forman Hosts ‘Starving Artist' Auctions to Raise Money for the Arts

Brown-Forman employees participated in some competitive bidding during their first-ever art auctions. With three separate auctions held in March, Brown-Forman employees raised a total of $14,300. Hundreds of Brown-Forman employees checked out the auctions (including a ‘Starving Artist' auction), bidding on many paintings and prints. Even Michael Crutcher, Vice Chairman, General Counsel & Secretary for Brown-Forman, got in on the action as the auctioneer for the final live art auction.
