It’s a BIG DEAL!

Fund for the Arts Kicks-Off 2008 Campaign on

Tuesday, February 5

 

Mark your calendars! Join the Fund for the Arts for a free performance and lunch to kick off the BIG DEAL campaign on Tuesday, February 5 from Noon-1 pm at the Brown Theatre.  The Kick-Off event will feature some of the region’s most outstanding performers from Fund for the Arts member organizations.

 

The 2008 Fund for the Arts Campaign Kick-Off, sponsored by Yum! Brands, Inc., Walters, Walters, Redmon & Associates,a Financial advisory branch of Ameriprise Financial Servies Inc, The Courier-Journal, and Dasani, will take place on Tuesday, February 5 at the Brown Theatre from noon –1 pm. The event will exhibit some of the regions most outstanding performers from Fund for the Arts Member organizations and grant recipients. And if that doesn’t get you there, how about a complimentary boxed lunch provided to all guests in attendance for FREE!

 

Highlights of the program will include a performance by Stage One, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and the Gheens Great Expectations young artists. High school artists from the Louisville Visual Art Association will be painting, drawing and creating works of art in the lobby of the theatre. Additional performances will be presented by the Kentucky Opera, Louisville Youth Choir and the Louisville Ballet.

 

This event is free and open to the public, however, reservations must be made in advance. Call the Fund for the Arts at (502) 582-0100 or visit www.fundforthearts.com to reserve your seat soon before they are gone!

Moderating is the Fund’s own Executive Vice President Barbara Sexton Smith.  

Phil and Tom promise a lively conversation about how the arts foster job creation and retention, economic growth and quality of life.
